Welcome, But Fair Warning

Welcome to this week’s You Are Destined For Greatness. So I'm going to give you a fair warning, and I'm going to give you some information that you may not know, and I'm going to give you a fact, and that is this: if you have not intentionally taken the time to choose and decide what you want to believe about yourself, okay, it's been decided for you. And, not only has it been decided for you, but 9 out of 10, it's not helping you, it's hurting you, and here's how that goes.

The Power of Belief and Self-Perception

Left unattended, left to ourselves, we can live and die and not give this any thought. And 9 out of 10, 99% of the time, our natural brain, combined with our experiences, combines and it just gives us an idea about ourselves that measures up to be, that equals, that we're a little bit deficient. We're not quite good enough. We're not, we don’t quite, we’re not quite deserving. We're not quite worthy. We're not quite as valuable as we could be.

That is the normal, natural brain combined with our life experiences, left un, left alone.

And why does that matter? Because if you never do anything about it, you'll live and die and that'll just be the way it is. But why does it matter? It matters because the way that you relate to you, to yourself is the way that you relate to the world. And so that belief system that you have about you, that I have about me, is imperative to first of all understand, become intentional about. And move to create the beliefs that we want to have about ourselves so that we create an improved life, we reach more of our potential, and we make more of the contribution in the world that we can make. And that we can love and care for, have a larger capacity to love the people that we care about in this world. That's why, okay, it is important.

Why We Downplay Ourselves

And part of the reason is, is some of the words is, is we’ve been conditioned in our society from words and experiences to downplay ourselves to, you know, to not focus on ourselves, okay? To downplay all our accomplishments and the way that we look, because we don't want to hurt somebody else's feelings. And we don't want somebody else thinking we're arrogant or that we're better than they are, and this and that and the other.

And as a result of that, we automatically take the focus off of ourselves, and we diminish ourselves. We really, we diminish ourselves.

The Stable Living Coaching Process

So this week in the podcast, I lay out the process that we work on in Stable Living Coaching, which is, first of all, to become aware of what it is that you believe about yourself. Okay, that's number one.

Just the awareness alone of what do I truly in my heart of hearts, believe? What are some of the things that I believe to be true about me? Understanding that and recognizing, recognizing that some of those beliefs are not giving us results that are helpful in our lives is an amazing, powerful thing just in and of itself.

Because subconsciously, subconsciously, we subtly start making little moves to change it, just by having the awareness. So it's actually a big and important step.

Choosing What to Believe About Yourself

The second one is to take the time to think about and choose what do I want to believe about me? What is it that I would believe about me if I could?

If you could believe anything you want to about yourself, okay, what would that be? If that was possible? Okay, because it is.

And then second, we have a process to develop beliefs. Human beings can choose to believe what they want to, and we have a process to help people get from if it’s too big to believe or it seems like too big of a stretch or it’s not believable, in Stable Living Coaching we help you get there through the ladder process. Because a belief, okay, is something that we hold in our mind. It's a thought that we continue to think, and we think similar thoughts. We continue to think those kind of thoughts towards that belief, about that belief. We start to think that thought a lot.

And then we do actions in our lives that prove it to be true until we firmly, in our heart and soul, believe it, and then it is when it manifests and becomes reality. And that's when the magic happens.

The Magic of Belief in Action

This process is magical, and I highly recommend that you consider thinking, putting time into what you believe about yourself rather than, doing nothing about it, if you don't like all the answers. And nine out of ten, you're not going to like all the answers, unless you've been working on this already and developing beliefs on purpose and move toward what you want to believe to be true about you.

'Cause you can believe anything you want, and it's going to make a tremendous difference in your life and the lives of everyone around you, horses and humans. Big part of everything and everyone.
