Why You Struggle, and What’s Behind It

Think about the last time you:

  • Said yes when you wanted to say no.
  • Swallowed your words when you needed to speak up.
  • Overthought something until it paralyzed you.
  • Snapped at your kids or felt overwhelmed.
  • Avoided taking a risk because you weren’t sure you’d succeed.

Every one of these behaviors, and thousands more, can be traced back to one cause: what you believe about yourself.

Your Beliefs Shape Your Entire Life

Most of us don’t realize how much our self-beliefs control us. We think we’re reacting to outside circumstances when, in reality, we’re responding to the stories we’ve told ourselves.

Here’s the truth:
If you don’t intentionally decide what to believe about yourself, your subconscious will do it for you.

And your subconscious? It’s not your biggest fan.
It tells you you’re not good enough.
It convinces you to play small, hold back, and settle for less.

But you don’t have to believe it.

What Happens When You Don’t Rewrite Your Beliefs

If you let these default beliefs take over, here’s what it costs you:

  • Opportunities pass you by.
  • Your relationships stay surface-level.
  • You hold yourself back from contributing your gifts to the world.
  • You live a smaller, less fulfilling life.

In short, you don’t become the person you were meant to be.

My Story, and Why It Matters

For years, I believed I didn’t deserve to live.

It wasn’t just a fleeting thought. It was a deep, painful belief that shaped everything about my life. I believed I was broken, unworthy, and incapable of real happiness.

That belief drove my behavior. I sabotaged relationships. I made poor choices. I played small because I didn’t think I deserved better.

It took a long time, but I don’t believe that anymore.

Now, I like me. I respect me. I trust me. I’m proud of the person I’ve become. I’ve learned to accept and love myself as I am.

The Good News: You Can Change What You Believe

Here’s what most people don’t realize:

You can believe anything you want about yourself.

  • Regardless of what you’ve done.
  • Regardless of what you haven’t done.
  • Regardless of what’s been done to you.

You can decide to believe:

  • That you’re capable of achieving anything.
  • That you’re worthy of love, success, and happiness.
  • That you’re strong enough to handle life’s challenges.

And here’s the kicker: When you change your beliefs, everything else changes too.

How to Rewrite Your Self-Beliefs

Changing your beliefs about yourself takes two things:

  1. Desire: You have to want it.
  2. The Know-How: A proven process to help you shift your mindset and rewrite your story.

That’s where I come in.

Why Self-Belief Is the Most Important Work You’ll Ever Do

Here’s my quote about why this work matters:

“Fully accepting ourselves and unconditionally loving ourselves is not a good idea. It is our duty to mankind. For without a commitment to pursue this ideal, we cannot fully love the people we deeply care about or make the contribution to the world that we were destined to make. Disregarding this endeavor not only limits ourselves, we limit our full sphere of influence.” – Shane Jacob

This isn’t just about you. It’s about the legacy you leave behind, the relationships you build, and the difference you make in the world.

Final Thoughts

You are 100% worthy—right now, as you are.

But if you don’t believe it, you’re leaving so much on the table.

Don’t let your subconscious mind dictate your worth.
Don’t let fear or self-doubt stop you from chasing your dreams.

You deserve to believe in yourself, love yourself, and give the world the very best version of YOU.

And you can.

Remember: you cannot fail as long as you Don’t Ever Stop Chasin’ It!
